Learning From My Gambling Failures

First to explain why I write this essay. I have been wagering on the net or at physical casinos for many years. I have discovered, the dependency can grab a hold of you and you won’t even notice it up until you are penniless. Particularly if you are on a winning streak. I’ve gone through many thousands of dollars in only a short period of time and still on occasion, I will go a bit too far. It appears you are just having a blast until you start to be aware of your losses and the guilt sets in, and then you keep telling yourself "I can win it back" constantly. It doesn’t works. Then you become sick in your stomach and the more you try the faster you lose.
When you notice that you’re ahead, remain on the UP! When you start to lose, do not tell yourself, "well just maybe one more" and over and over again, trust me, this method almost never ever works. Say you are playing on slots, have an amount put aside before beginning your action. DO NOT go over that boundary, regardless how alluring. If you actually succeed, put that in a separate cup. Don’t spend your successes no matter what. Once you’ve played through your primary set limit, call it a day. Leave, regardless if it is online or at a land based betting house, don’t stick around. Always keep in mind, there will be another day, a different time.
Remember, gambling is supposed to be FUN not backbreaking, nauseating work! If you aren’t having fun yourself, you do not belong there. If youcan’t manage the loss, do not even start.
